Weekend BO: Dull show for Telugu films

The summer of 2024 is turning out to be unfavourable for the Telugu film industry. Although “Tillu Square,” the first movie of the summer season, was a huge hit, the first two weeks of April 2024 registered all flops and losses.

Vijay Deverakonda’s “Family Star”, which hit the theaters on April 5, bombed miserably. This project will incur significant losses. The films “Geethanjali Malli Modalaindi”, “Sriranganeethulu”, “Love Guru”, and “Dear” were released last weekend.

Only the film starring Anjali had some expectations. However, “Geethanjali Malli Maodalindi,” the sequel to the 2014 smash hit “Geethanjali,” failed to get off to a good start. Collections on the first day were low. And with negative reviews and negative word-of-mouth, its prospects were completely ruined its prospects after that. It is a big flop.

Despite Suhas’ presence in the lead role, “Sriranganeethulu” failed to attract audiences.

Among the two dubbed films, “Love Guru” received better ratings. However, collections were low. The film “DeAr” starring GV Prakash Kumar and Aishwarya Rajesh was panned not only by critics but also by audiences.
