How did you get Rambaanam?

This project came my way while I was filming ‘Khiladi’. After seeing ‘Khiladi’, Sriwaas, the director, had second thoughts about casting me as Bhairavi. I had to take the screen test twice before they were convinced I was the right person for the job.

Tell us about your role in the film and your experience working on it?

“Ramabanam” will depict me as a city girl. I play Bhairavi, a vlogger. I am Gopichand’s lover in the film. He is a true gentleman and a man of few words. He has a laser-like focus. If something is wrong with the scene, his eyes will tell you.

Director Sriwass is a gentle and kind soul. And my producers, Vishwaprasad and Vivek, are two wonderful people.

Are you Telugu girl?

My parents are of Tamil and Telugu descent. When I was young, my family and I relocated from Vijayawada to Hyderabad. I am ‘acha’ Telugu girl.

As an actress, I like to play a wide range of roles. I don’t want to limit myself. Telugu girls are now being offered major roles in films. Sreeleela has become a big star. However, the trend of Telugu girls seizing more opportunities has yet to take off.

What are your next projects?

I’m currently working on two major films in Telugu and Tamil. The details will be released soon by the creators.
