Allu Arjun made his debut in the musical hit “Gangotri” directed by veteran director K Raghavendra Rao. However, he received widespread criticism for his appearance. Then, Dil Raju produced a youthful film starring Allu Arjun and introducing Sukumar as the director. And the rest is history.
The film is “Arya.” It was released on May 7, 2004. “Arya” became a huge hit, launching the careers of Allu Arjun as the stylish star and Sukumar as the director. Today, Allu Arjun is a pan-Indian superstar, and Sukumar is one of the highest-paid directors in Indian cinema.
They are currently working together on “Pushpa 2.”
As the film turns 20, Allu Arjun took to social media to express his gratitude. He also stated that the film had changed the course of his life forever.
“20 years of Arya. It’s not just a movie … it’s a moment in time that changed the course of my life . Gratitude forever,” he wrote.
Sukumar directed a sequel titled “Arya 2” five years later, but the film failed at the box office.
