There is no official word yet, but it is pretty evident that Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ also followed suit of ‘RRR’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’. The film, which is scheduled for Feb 4th release, will not make it to the theaters on that day as the Andhra Pradesh government imposed a 50% occupancy rule in cinema halls.

As COVID-19 cases are on the surge, there will be some restrictions in Telangana as well in the coming days. So, the makers have no option but to postpone it. The official statement will come out after the Sankranthi festival.

‘Acharya’ marks the combination of Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in their full-length roles. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film suffered delay due to the coronavirus. Kajal Aggarwal played Chiranjeevi’s love interest, while Pooja Hegde paired up with Ram Charan.

Producer Niranjan Reddy will have to search for a new date. There is a possibility that the film would release after ‘RRR’.
