Jayasudha, a veteran actress who has performed in over 300 films, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. Union Minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy welcomed her into the party in New Delhi.
Jayasudha stated that she will work to develop the party in Telangana. She also stated that she will stand out for her Christian community and advocate for their wellbeing.
Jayasudha was also a former MLA. She was a member of the Legislative Assembly from 2009 to 2014. She won the Secunderabad seat from Congress party. She later joined the Telugu Desam and YSR Congress parties. She is presently a BJP member.
She is expected to run again for the Secunderabad constituency on a BJP ticket in the upcoming Telangana assembly elections later this year.
