Nandamuri Balakrishna has recently been increasing his remuneration following the release of each film, asking an additional 40% of the amount he received for the previous film. He started this strategy with “Akhanda”. He received Rs 15 crore for “Veera Simha Reddy”, Rs 20 crore for “Bhagavanth Kesari”, and Rs 27 crore for “Daaku Maharaj.”
Since “Akhanda,” his films have performed well, with the majority of them becoming hits or average grossers. There were no flops. But there is a big buzz about his next picture, “Akhanda 2.” And the producers will finalize big deals, both theatrical and non-theatrical. Thus, Balakrishna demanded a huge salary.
Yes, he would receive Rs 40 to 45 crore for this film. This is a significant boost in his earnings. Five years ago, he was paid Rs 12 crore. Today, he earns more than 40 Cr.
The interesting fact is that filmmaker Boyapati Srinu is being paid handsomely for “Akhanda” despite the fact that his previous picture “Skandha” bombed at the box office. According to our sources, he will receive a salary cheque of Rs 30 crore for “Akhanda 2.”
“Akhanda 2” is being produced on a spectacular scale. The film’s budget would be in the range of Rs 175 crore.
