‘Akhanda 2’ team begins Hindi-market promotions

The 2021 release “Akhanda” not only performed exceptionally well in the Telugu states but also developed a cult following in North India after its OTT debut. Buoyed by this response, director Boyapati Srinu grew confident that the Hindi version of “Akhanda 2” would have strong box-office potential.
With this in mind, the team has strategically focused on the Hindi market. “Akhanda 2: Thaandavam” is slated for a grand release on December 5, 2025, in five languages, although the primary push remains on the Telugu and Hindi versions.
Today, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu kickstarted promotions in Mumbai. The “The Thandavam” song was unveiled at a grand event at PVR Juhu. Composed by Thaman S and sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Kailash Kher, the track showcases Balakrishna’s dual avatar as he takes on modern-day evil forces.
Balakrishna once again reprises his dual roles from the first film, while Pragya Jaiswal also returns. The notable new addition to the cast is Samyuktha.
