“Ticket Undaa?” is the common question that we hear in Telugu states these days. Everyone is asking about tickets for “RRR” on the first day. The theaters are booked completely in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Rajamouli’s “RRR” will surely set a record on the first day in AP, Telangana, and overseas. Such is the craze the film does have. However, the picture is quite the opposite of the Hindi version.
Two days before the release date, the Book My Show app shows tickets available in all theaters and multiplexes in big cities like Mumbai for the Hindi version. The bookings for the movie are not great in North India.
Rajamouli is India’s biggest director. He is popular across India after the success of “Baahubali” movies. The film also has well-known Bollywood faces like Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt. Still, the trend is not that encouraging.
It is a puzzle why the film is underperforming in advance sales. Perhaps, it will pick up the momentum once the film gets released in theaters and word-of-mouth comes as a strong.
