Three notable films were released in theaters last weekend, but none of them starred notable actors. They were ‘Nenu Student Sir,’ ‘Pareshan,’ and ‘Ahimsa’. However, the reception to these films was underwhelming.
Rana Daggubati presented ‘Pareshan,’ a rural Telangana comedy. In Hyderabad, the film performed better than other films. However, it is not considered a success. ‘Nenu Student Sir,’ starring Bellamkonda Srinivas, had a slightly better story than the others, but it failed to entice audiences. The movie bombed at the box office.
Teja’s film ‘Ahimsa’ introduced Rana’s brother Abhiram as the hero. The film received negative reviews from critics. In every area, the collections were almost non-existent.
The holdover film ‘Mem Famous’ performed better at the box office in the United States. Despite the summer holidays, Telugu films are struggling to attract audiences. The box office is going through a dry spell.
