Allu Arjun: ‘I am a law-abiding citizen’

Upon his release from detention on Sunday morning, Allu Arjun immediately addressed the media at his Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad. He said that he is a law-abiding citizen and will respect laws. He mentioned he would not speak much about the case since it is in the court of law but expressed his deep sorrow to the family of Revathi, who lost her life in the stampede at Sandhya theatre during the premiere of his film ‘Pushpa 2.’

Allu Arjun was granted interim bail on Friday but released from Chanchalguda Jail early Saturday morning. Due to the delayed arrival of bail papers, he spent a night in jail before his release.

He embraced his wife Sneha, daughter Arha, and son Ayaan as they arrived at his home. His wife turned emotional and wept as she saw her husband.

Allu Arjun said, “I once again extend my sympathies to the family of Revathi. The loss that the family of Revathi faces is irreplaceable. I have been going to theaters to watch movies for the past two years. I had also watched many of megastar Chiranjeevi’s movies in the theaters. This stampede was unfortunate.”

He further thanked fans, well-wishers, and friends for standing behind him in the testing times. “I am fine and alright; nothing to worry about. I ask my fans not to worry about my well-being. I thank all the fans and well-wishers who extended support,” he added.
