Allu Arjun, who is basking in the success of “Pushpa 2,” approached the Telangana High Court seeking to quash the First Information Report (FIR) registered against him in connection with a tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre.
In his petition, Allu Arjun denied any involvement in the incident, asserting that his mere presence at the screening could not be deemed criminal. His team argued that the actor was not directly responsible for the overcrowding and that they had taken all necessary precautions, such as prior security arrangements with the police and theater management, to ensure crowd control.
Recall that on December 4, during the premiere of his film ‘Pushpa 2 – The Rule,’ a stampede resulted in one person’s death and critical injuries to another.
Allu Arjun already announced ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh to the deceased family. The police filed a case against the Sandhya theater management as well as Allu Arjun. But the actor said he has no involvement in this case.
