Amala Paul was recently seen in director Nandini Reddy’s short story – Meera. This is part of Netflix’s anthology story ‘Pitta Kathalu’. She played the role of Meera, a woman who goes through turbulence in her life due to her suspicious husband.
Drawing parallels to her personal life, Amala Paul said when she went through a separation from her husband, none came forward to lend support.
“Nobody supported me. Moreover, they made all sorts of allegations and tried to defame me. None cared about my mental health,” she said.
Amala Paul got divorced from her husband AL Vijay, a popular Tamil filmmaker.
