After approaching top actors, the makers of ‘Pushpa’ are said to have zeroed in on Tamil star Arya for the role of a corrupt cop. Allu Arjun will fight with several baddies in the film that is being directed by Sukumar.
Arya will lead the gang of baddies that include Kannada star Dhanunjaya and comedian Sunil. Yes, Sunil is also playing a negative character in this film.
Arya earlier played a negative role in Allu Arjun and Gunasekhar’s ‘Varudu’, which saw the disastrous result. Ten years later, Allu Arjun and Arya are teaming up again. The Tamil star was not the first choice for this role.
Vijay Sethupati was the original choice. After Vijay Sethupathi has turned down the offer, the makers have approached Madhavan, Anil Kapoor, Sudeep, and Nara Rohit. But, they are finally said to have signed Arya for this movie.
‘Pushpa’ deals with the subject of the smuggling of Red Sanders in the Seshachalam forest in Chittoor district. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film’s shoot is in progress in Hyderabad.
