We have informed our readers earlier that Rajamouli’s team is toying with two dates – Sankranthi 2022 and Ugadhi 2022 for its release plan. However, the team of ‘RRR’ recently announced that they would announce the new date when the cinemas world over up and running.
But some Bollywood trade handles in social media have started spreading the news that Pen Movies, which secured the Hindi rights, has informed the exhibitors about the new release date.
As per Bollywood trade media, ‘RRR’ will release on January 12, 2022. Bollywood producers recently announced the release dates of all biggies. They have not locked any movie for the Sankranthi period. So, Rajamouli wants to grab this slot.
If Rajamouli locks this date, it will disturb the release plans of other Telugu biggies like ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’, ‘Bheemla Nayak’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’. All these biggies have announced their Sankranthi release plans long back. It is not an easy job for Rajamouli to convince all these big heroes to postpone their movies.
Sources say Rajamouli and his team are still in discussion about finalizing the date. They have not yet made any decision.
