Box office: ‘Eagle’ posts okay numbers but rest fail miserably

Box office report

The Telugu box office in February continues to remain dull. After “Hanu Man”, no Telugu film posted big numbers this year so far. Ravi Teja’s “Eagle” was supposed to put the box office on fire but the film collected quite average numbers in the first weekend. The other new releases bombed at the box office.

Eagle

Ravi Teja’s “Eagle” began on a low note on the first day. The film’s first-day collections were unimpressive, but it picked up steam later and had a respectable total by the end of the weekend. However, the film’s overall result will be available only on weekdays.

Yatra 2

“Yatra 2,” a biopic about YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, was strangely not supported by the YSRC Party. During this election period, one expected the party to rally behind it and make it a huge success. However, collections in Andhra Pradesh, the film’s crucial market, remained low. It’s a flop.

Lal Salaam

Rajinikanth appeared in an extended guest role in “Lal Salaam,” a film directed by his daughter Aishwarya. The sports drama was a complete disaster in both Tamil and Telugu. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, many theaters cancelled shows due to a lack of audience. It is one of the most biggest disasters in recent history.

True Lover

“True Lover,” a dubbed film presented by SKN and Maruthi, had no takers. The film received a lukewarm reception following its paid premieres, and its box office did not improve over the weekend. A flop.
