“Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari”, a fantasy film directed by K Raghavendra Rao and produced by C Ashwini Dutt, is one of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s most memorable works. The 1990 film is a favorite among Telugu film fans, and its songs, composed by Ilayaraja, are even played on radio stations. Chiranjeevi and late Sridevi’s on-screen chemistry in this fantasy film established them as an all-time on-screen pair in Telugu cinema.

Chiranjeevi and producer Ashwini Dutt have long wanted to make a sequel with his son Ram Charan and Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor.

Some previous attempts were unsuccessful. Chiranjeevi expressed his desire to see the sequel ‘JVAS 2’ (Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari 2).

Now that Janhvi Kapoor has teamed up with Ram Charan in director Buchi Babu Sana’s new sports drama, Chiranjeevi has expressed hope that his sequel materialises one day.

“I still want Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor to recreate the magic Sridevi and I created. I wish this sequel to Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari could be made right now. I hope it happens,” Chiranjeevi said in an interview.

Ram Charan mentioned the ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari 2’ during the launch of his new film (#RC16). “Fans have been asking me to work with Janhvi Kapoor on JVAS 2. However, I am pleased that we are working together, at least on this film,” he stated.

We’ll have to see if JVAS 2 comes to fruition.
