No one knows what would be the business of movies in the theaters. Hollywood biggies are being pushed to 2022, to assess the market conditions. The overseas market may not bounce back anytime soon. The general perception among the producers that lavish productions are almost suicidal at this period.

But, producer Ashwini Dutt who is producing Prabhas’s 21st film, recently said director Nag Ashwin quoted about 400 crore budget. He even went on claiming that the movie even goes past that mark by the end of the filming. T-Series, which has announced ‘Adipursh’ has earmarked Rs 350 – 400 crore for this VFX-rich epic drama. The film stars Prabhas as Lord Ram.

Prabhas is the only South Indian star who commands patronage from audiences nationwide. His last film, Saaho, minted money in the North Indian market, though it was a colossal disaster in Telugu and other South Indian languages.

It has now become Rs 300 crore is the minimum budget for a Prabhas starrer. The star himself charges the remuneration of Rs 75 crore.
