A good Friday! After a gap of two months, the Telugu film industry witnessed a Friday that brought cheers to all – producers, distributors, and exhibitors. Kalyan Ram’s ‘Bimbisara’ and Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘Sita Ramam’ took a good start at the box office. And Kalyan Ram’s film surprised everyone with its solid numbers.
The time travel thriller took a flying start at the box office. On the first day, the Kalyan Ram starrer collected more than Rs 2.12 Cr share in Telangana (Nizam). The number in Andhra Pradesh is also huge. In Telugu states, the film is estimated to have collected about Rs 6 Cr (share). A huge number for a Kalyan Ram starrer.
If the film continues the same momentum, it has a high chance of recovering the entire investment in four days.

Directed by newcomer Vasshist, ‘Bimbisara’ is the first film in two months to score such massive openings. Produced by Hari Krishna, the film clicked with mass audiences.
‘Sita Ramam’, on the other hand, posted decent numbers in urban areas and the USA.
