Pawan Kalyan once again proved his box office dominance. Despite mixed reviews and criticism of its visual effects, “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” posted strong numbers on its opening day. Pawan Kalyan’s undeniable star power and aggressive post-release promotions have made the film remain strong at the box office. He also made his rare appearance at a success meet, a first in his career.
The film had already set a record as the second-highest grosser from premiere shows. Building on that momentum, the first-day worldwide collections stood at an impressive Rs 60 crore (approximately).
In India alone, the film raked in Rs 46 crore (inclusive of premiere shows), marking the highest-ever day-one figure in Pawan Kalyan’s career. As expected, Andhra Pradesh led the numbers, followed by Telangana. While the Hindi version gained traction on social media, it failed to translate into significant box office returns.
Overseas, the film grossed around Rs 12 crore, with collections from the USA falling short compared to recent big-ticket releases.
Directed by Krish and AM Jyothi Krishna, and produced by AM Rathnam, “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” tells the story of a rebellious outlaw tasked with stealing the Kohinoor diamond, while also shedding light on the atrocities committed against Hindus during the reign of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
