“Pushpa 2: The Rule” is smashing records in North India. The film has become a rage in Hindi. In just two days, “Pushpa: The Rule” crossed Rs 100 Cr nett, according to Bollywood trade pundits.
While the film collected a massive Rs 65 Crore (nett) on the first day, it raked in a huge 55 Crore (nett) on the second day. Thus, it went past the 100 Cr mark in just two days.
At this rate, it would easily cross the Rs 200 crore mark by the end of the first weekend with the Hindi version alone.
Director Sukumar and Allu Arjun have planned it to appeal to the Hindi audience, and their plan paid off well. In fact, its success has exceeded their initial expectations. The massive reception for ‘Pushpa 2’ in the Hindi market also stunned all trade analysts in both Bollywood and Tollywood.
The first part of “Pushpa” collected under Rs 100 crore in North India, whereas the sequel collected more than Rs 100 crore in just two days, proving the franchise’s popularity. Allu Arjun emerged as a true pan-Indian star with this movie.
With this film, director Sukumar also became a national brand.
