Bollywood and Tollywood filmmakers have suddenly found interest in Indian epic dramas and mythologies. Prabhas is acting in ‘Adipurush’ based on Ramayan. ‘Baahubali’ writer Vijayendra Prasad has written a script named ‘Sita’, which retells the Ramayan epic through the eyes of Sita.
The latest buzz is that Deepika Padukone has joined the bandwagon.
Bollywood producer Madhu Mantena is collaborating with Deepika Padukone to produce a movie based on the epic tale of Ramayan. They have earlier announced ‘Draupadi’ based on Mahabharat, but now they have decided to make Ramayan first.
Deepika Padukone recently launched a production house. She is also making her Telugu debut opposite Prabhas in director Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi thriller. She may join the shoot early next year.
