Devara’s success event is unlikely to occur: Naga Vamsi
“Devara” will complete its first-week theatrical run today. The film starring NTR already grossed a massive amount, especially in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and the USA.
The last-minute cancellation of the film’s pre-release event left fans anticipating a massive success event in the coming days. But Naga Vamsi, who bought the film’s distribution rights for the Telugu states, said in a statement that there will be no success event either.
The reason he cited is the lack of big venues in the wake of the festival period in AP and Telangana. He said they are still trying to get permission from respective governments to hold the event, but the prospects are bleak due to the ongoing Dasara festive period celebrations across the Telugu states.
Koratala Siva directed “Devara,” which starred NTR and Janhvi Kapoor as the lead actors and Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. The film has already garnered more than Rs 100 crore in Telugu states.
