Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s meticulous filmmaking style means long gaps between his projects — and going by his current lineup, Telugu audiences may have to wait until 2030 for his next direct film in the language.
The director is currently working on “Spirit”, featuring Prabhas in the lead. The film’s shoot is expected to be completed this year, with a planned theatrical release in March 2027.
Soon after wrapping up “Spirit,” Vanga will move on to “Animal Park”, the sequel to Ranbir Kapoor’s “Animal.” Unlike usual speculation, there won’t be a long gap before he begins this project. However, considering his filmmaking pace, the sequel is likely to release only by late 2028.
Vanga has already clarified that he intends to continue directing Hindi films even after “Animal Park.” This means he could take up another Bollywood project, potentially pushing his next release to 2029 or even 2030.
Though projects with Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu have been discussed in industry circles, they are not expected to materialize anytime soon. Vanga is known for taking his time. He completes one film, releases it, and only then moves to the next.
He made his debut with “Arjun Reddy” in 2017, followed by “Kabir Singh” in 2019, and “Animal” in 2023. In nearly a decade, he has delivered just three films.
Given this pattern and his confirmed Bollywood commitments, discussions about which Telugu hero he will collaborate with in 2030 may be premature at this stage.
