‘Liger’ is Vijay Deverakonda’s first pan-Indian project. The boxing movie also marks the first combination between maverick film director Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Deverakonda. The action movie completed its shooting part and is gearing up for release in August this year.

The theatrical rights for the Telugu version have not yet been closed. But the movie’s non-theatrical (digital, satellite, music) business has been done. Sony Music bought the movie’s music rights for Rs 14 Cr. Star group bought the film’s digital and satellite rights for Rs 85 crore. Altogether, it fetched Rs 99 crore (for all languages).

‘Liger’ stars Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Pandey, Ramya Krishna, and boxing legend Mike Tyson. Karan Johar is co-producing the film along with Charmee and Puri Jagannadh. Directed by Puri, the movie’s teaser won appreciation. The promotions will begin next month.
