Faria Abdullah to turn director soon, shares big plans

The trend of actors turning directors is gaining momentum in the film industry, and it’s no longer limited to male stars. After actors like Vishwak Sen stepping behind the camera and talents like Adivi Sesh and Naveen Polishetty actively contributing as writers, a young actress is now ready to take the same path.
Actress Faria Abdullah has revealed that she is planning to make her directorial debut soon. Currently promoting her film “Gaayapadda Simham,” in which she plays one of the female leads, Faria shared that she is already working on a few story ideas.
“I am planning to direct next year. Right now, I’m writing a few scripts,” she said, confirming her intentions to step into direction. However, she chose to keep details about the genre under wraps for now.
With a background in mass communication, Faria seems keen on exploring storytelling beyond acting. At the same time, she continues to stay busy as an actress with multiple projects in the pipeline.
She revealed that films like “Bhagavanthudu” are on the way, while she is also part of “Sigma,” directed by Jason Sanjay, son of actor Vijay. In addition, two more projects are set to go on floors soon, including a film with Satyadev.
As she balances acting and writing, Faria Abdullah appears all set to add “director” to her growing list of creative roles.
