The success of three medium-range films gave much-required confidence. No wonder there is a rush for locking the release dates. Films like “Saakini Daakini” which were originally planned for direct-OTT have changed plans. They have announced their theatrical release dates.
Vaisshnav Tej’s Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga, Kiran Abbavaram’s Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini, Sharwanand’s Oke Oka Jeevitham, Satya Dev starrer Gurthunda Seetakalam, Sudheer Babu and Krithi Shetty starrer ‘Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali’, Naga Shaurya’s ‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’, and Sree Vishnu’s ‘Alluri’ have announced their September plans.
The latest to join in the list are Saakini Daakini and Dongalunnaru Jagratha.
Mani Ratnam’s pan-Indian film ‘Ponniyan Selvan 1’ is the only biggie among them. The rest are medium-range films.
