“Akhanda 2: Taandavam” is set for a grand release on December 5, 2025, and the makers held an impressive pre-release event at Kaithalapur grounds, KPHB, in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the event, Nandamuri Balakrishna paid an emotional tribute to his father. “I bow to the divine force, the man of the era, my father, my teacher, my courage—Dr. Padma Shri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao—who blessed me with this birth and lives eternally in your hearts,” he said.

Quoting a powerful dialogue from his upcoming film, he added, “There may be many people in history, but only one person rewrites and recreates history again and again. I am that history.”

Balakrishna said cinema is a soul that must be captured with sincerity, and that he always strives to deliver meaningful films for fans and audiences. He recalled releasing “Akhanda” during the peak of the pandemic and thanked the Telugu audience for making it a massive success.

God guided us: Boyapati

“With the blessings of Gangamma, Maha Shiva, Shakti and Adi Shakti, this Rudra Tandava flows through me. The vision of the three-eyed God is etched within me, and his trident empowers my weapon. You will witness that fire on screen,” he said.

Praising director Boyapati Srinu, he added, “When Boyapati and I decide to make a film, it takes just three minutes of discussion. I am like mercury. I can switch into any role easily. Akhanda 2 will be another huge success.”

Director Boyapati Srinu echoed the sentiment, saying, “Balayya garu is our strength and our pride. We’ve just completed censor formalities, and the film received a U/A certificate. The board appreciated it wholeheartedly.”

He also emphasized the spiritual energy behind the project. “We began this film believing that if we perform a powerful Tandava, God himself should appear. After watching it, we realized it became a divine program. God guided us throughout. Some locations we created are unbelievable; it felt like the path was shown to us by a higher force.”
