Andhra Pradesh Congress president YS Sharmila today said she doesn’t know who Prabhas is and never met him in her life.
“When the propaganda began to circulate about my relationship with Prabhas five years ago, I made it clear that I had no connection with him at that time. I swore to my children that I never met him. Even now, I state same thing. I have no relation with Prabhas, nor have I met him,” Sharmila said.
She was responding to allegations made by her brother, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who claimed that the gossip about Sharmila and Prabhas originated from Nandmuri Balakrishna’s house, as indicated by the IP address. She questioned YS Jagan why he did not take action on Balakrishna during his five-year rule.
The brother and sister are engaged in a verbal war against each other.
Back then, Prabhas categorically denied that the rumors about Sharmila and him saying they were utter nonsense and baseless. Sharmila then complained to the then Telangana government and sought help from KTR, then IT Minister. Subsequently, the controversy ended.
Sharmila reiterated in her press conference today that “Prabhas Yevado Naku Telidu (sic) (does not know who Prabhas is).”
