I never used my father’s name for films: Shruti

Actress Shruti Haasan is a star kid. The Indian film industry is full of such kids. Admitting that she entered the film industry without any struggle, she also says she had never used her father’s name to get chances.

Shruti Haasan is the elder daughter of legendary actor Kamal Haasan. She made her debut as an actress in a Hindi film, and then entered the South Indian film industry.

In a recent interview, she said she has never used her parents’ names or connections to secure a film. Her surname made her job easy but she says none of the projects came to her because of her family.

Shruti Haasan is currently acting opposite Prabhas, Chiranjeevi, and Balakrishna in ‘Salaar’, ‘Waltair Veerayya’ and ‘Jai Ballaya’ respectively.
