After predominantly starring in mass entertainers and action dramas in recent years, Ravi Teja is exploring a different space in 2026. Earlier this year, he played a family man caught between two women. Now, he is set to portray a father and an Ayyappa devotee in “Irumudi”
The film’s first glimpse, titled “The Heart of Irumudi”, was unveiled today, offering a peek into Ravi Teja’s character. The video opens with heartwarming moments between him and his daughter, played by Baby Nakshathra, in a picturesque village surrounded by mountains and waterfalls.
However, when his daughter faces grave danger, he is forced to unleash his fierce side. The glimpse also reveals him taking Ayyappa Swamy Deeksha, fulfilling a promise made to his daughter to give up all addictions and transform himself.
Backed by a soothing score from GV Prakash Kumar, the glimpse highlights a refreshing new dimension to Ravi Teja’s screen persona. Balancing the roles of a loving father, a devoted follower of Ayyappa Swamy, and an action hero, he appears markedly different from his usual characters.
Directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, “Irumudi” is expected to hit theaters in August.
