Fans of Pawan Kalyan have been eagerly waiting for an update on “OG 2”, the sequel to last year’s blockbuster “OG”. The gangster drama itself teased a sequel during its end credits. However, with Pawan Kalyan busy with his political responsibilities as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, many were unsure whether the project would materialize.
Following the disappointing performance of “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” earlier this year, speculation grew that Pawan Kalyan might not take up any new films. Putting all rumors to rest, “OG 2” has now been officially announced.
Pawan Kalyan Creative Works confirmed today that the sequel will move forward. The production house stated that discussions regarding the project will take place once director Sujeeth returns from his trip abroad.
Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya, “OG” emerged as the biggest hit of Pawan Kalyan’s career, grossing around Rs 300 crore worldwide. The film’s success made a sequel an obvious choice, though fans had been waiting for official confirmation.
Interestingly, Sujeeth had recently announced “Bloody Romeo” with Nani in the lead role. However, that project is yet to commence shooting.
Confirming the development on social media, the team wrote: “As promised, he will. The timing, he will let us know. Once @Sujeethsign returns from abroad, we will discuss. #OG2.”
The announcement has thrilled Pawan Kalyan’s fans, who are now eagerly awaiting further details about the sequel.
