Suriya who has landed in the thick of a political storm is getting support from the common public and celebrities alike. The controversy arose after a political party and caste organizations have objected to a scene in ‘Jai Bhim’, which was produced by Suriya.
The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video early this month.
Suriya today thanked his supporters. He tweeted, “Dear all, this love for #Jaibhim is overwhelming. I’ve never witnessed this before! Can’t express in words how thankful I am for the trust & reassurance you all have given us. Heartfelt thanks for standing by us.”
There is a reference to a powerful community named Vanniyar in the film. The caste organizations demand an apology from him for defaming their community.
Furthermore, Suriya has now accorded police security.
