Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan teamed up for ‘Nayakan’ (Nayakudu in Telugu), which is regarded as one of the greatest Indian movies ever. There were attempts to bring them together but they didn’t materialize. And 35 years later, they are collaborating.
Kamal Haasan bounced back with the stupendous success of ‘Vikram’ and Mani Ratnam scored the biggest blockbuster with period drama, PS 1. Now, they have announced their new collaboration.
“Here we go again! #KH234 The next phase of the journey,” Kamal Haasan tweeted announcing their new film.
Kamal Haasan is currently working on ‘Indian 2’, being directed by Shankar. He will commence Mani Ratnam’s film. The film is expected to hit theaters in 2024. Udayanidhi Stalin, Mani Ratnam, and Kamal Haasan will jointly produce the film.
