Kangana Ranaut is clearly on the back foot after growing demand for revocation of her Padma Shri honor. She said she would return her Padma Shri if anyone could answer her question.
“Everything is very clearly mentioned in the same interview 1857 first collective fight for freedom… along with sacrifice of greats like Subhash Chandra Bose, Rani Laxmibai and Veer Savarkar ji. 1857 I know but which war took place in 1947 I am not aware, if someone can bring to my awareness I will give back my Padma Shri and apologise also… please help me with this,” she posted on Instagram stories.
Kangana recently described that Indian Independence in 1947 was ‘bheekh’ (alms). It created a huge controversy. People have been demanding that she should be arrested immediately and revoke her recent Padma honor.

According to her, India got real freedom only in 2014, when Narendra Modi assumed office as Prime Minister of India.
