Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivi postponed

After Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Love Story’, it is the turn of Kangana starrer ‘Thalaivi’ to pull out from the release schedule of this month. The trilingual ‘Thalaivi’, which is scheduled to release on April 23, has been postponed due to the second wave of corona cases.

The makers said they are not releasing the film on that date.

“But with an alarming rise in COVID19 cases, subsequent precautions, and lockdowns, even though our film is ready for release on 23rd April, we want to extend all the support towards the government rules and regulations and have decided to postpone the release of Thalaivi,” the producers said.

‘Thalaivi’ is the biopic on actress and former Tamilnadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha. The film will fix the new release date.

Directed by AL Vijay, the film has Arvind Swamy in the role of MGR.
