Kangana’s Thalaivi clears censor hurdles

Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Thalaivi’ has cleared all hurdles at the censor board. The film received U certification from the board without any major cuts.

‘Thalaivi’ is a biopic on former Tamilnadu’s chief minister and actress J Jayalalithaa. Despite the political theme, the film received certification. The Telugu and Hindi versions are yet to be cleared. 

‘Thalaivi’ is expected to hit the theaters soon. The makers have turned down OTT-direct release offers. Directed by AL Vijay, ‘Thalaivi’ has Arvind Swamy in the role of MGR. 

Kangana Ranaut is banking heavily on this film to gain more craze in Tamil and Telugu markets. Kangana had already acted in a Telugu film. She paired opposite Prabhas in ‘Ek Niranjan’.
