The much-anticipated trailer of “Kannappa” was unveiled today, offering a glimpse into a story that blends high-octane action with deep devotional themes.
Manchu Vishnu plays Tinnadu, a fierce warrior and staunch non-believer, who mocks his girlfriend for her devotion to Lord Shiva. When Goddess Parvati questions Shiva about how such a man could ever become his greatest devotee, the lord merely smiles—setting the stage for a powerful transformation. The arrival of Rudra in Tinnadu’s life triggers a spiritual awakening, eventually turning him into the devout Kannappa.
Manchu Vishnu portrays both the warrior and the transformed devotee with remarkable contrast. Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal appear as Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, while Prabhas takes on the role of Rudra.
The trailer opens with intense action sequences and showcases the film’s grand scale and visual richness. As it progresses, the emotional core of the story takes over, particularly in the scenes involving Prabhas and Manchu Vishnu, which emerge as key highlights.
The trailer also offers glimpses of legendary actors Mohanlal and Mohan Babu, adding to the star power.
Produced on a lavish scale, “Kannappa” is set for a grand release in five languages on June 27.
