Kashmir Files slows down, a relief for RRR

Bollywood film ‘The Kashmir Files’ has crossed Rs 200 crore mark in India in just two weeks. The film had a record run in the two weeks. However, it has slowed down in the last few days.

At one time, the film seemed to play spoilsport to the run of Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’ in the North Indian market. But now, the movie’s run has drastically come down. So, it will not pose a threat to ‘RRR’ if the film gets strong word-of-mouth.

‘The Kashmir Files’ directed by Vivek Agnihotri hit the theaters on 11th March. It emerged as a big hit and piped Prabhas’s ‘Radhe Shyam’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bachchhan Pandey’ to the post.

The Hindi distributor of ‘RRR’ heaves a sigh of relief now. However, the film’s bookings are not that great. The Hindi version of ‘RRR’ is expected to get Rs 11 to 13 Crore on the first day. Earlier estimates were in the range of Rs 20 crore.
