However, the Konidela family’s aspiration to emulate the political success of the Nandamuri dynasty did not come to fruition at that time.
Chiranjeevi merged his party with the Congress and then departed from politics. However, his brother Pawan Kalyan persisted in his aspiration to become a political power and established his own party, Jana Sena. He currently holds the position of Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and is a key member of the ruling NDA.
Now, his brother Konidela Nagababu is set to be inducted into the cabinet of Andhra Pradesh. It was stated that Naga Babu will be appointed as a minister in the state government by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The aspiration to transform the Konidela family into a formidable political force is finally materializing. Their family dominates the Telugu cinema industry, with several members, including Ram Charan, Sai Dharam Tej, and Varun Tej, being prominent actors.
It is ironic that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leader of the NDA, abhors dynastic politics and the dominance of a single family in governance.
