Lucifer remake not shelved, says director

Amidst the speculations that Chiranjeevi is not showing interest to take up the Telugu remake of the Malayalam blockbuster ‘Lucifer’, we tried to find out the truth. Here’s the official version. The movie has been shelved. It will go to the sets.

Director Jayam Raja aka Mohan Raja will wield the megaphone. He is working on the script and music of the film. Two songs have already been finalized. Thaman is composing the music.

However, the film will not hit the floors immediately as Chiranjeevi needs to wrap ‘Acharya’. The ‘Lucifer’ remake has been stalled due to the pandemic situation and non-completion of ‘Acharya’.

There are also going to be some changes in the main casting. Earlier, Nayanthara and Satyadev were finalized for the key roles. The makers will have to approach them again to find their dates as the schedules of all movies have gone haywire.

‘Kingmaker’ is one title that is being considered for this movie, which is to be produced by NV Prasad.
