Actor Naresh, the incumbent president of the Movie Artists Association(MAA), has finally relented to the pressure from all the actors. He agrees to issue a notification for elections. A decision was taken in the recent online meeting.
Buzz is that the elections are likely to be held on September 12. The term of Naresh and his team ends next month.
As of now, actors Prakash Raj, Manchu Vishnu, Jeevitha, Hema, and CVL Narasimha Rao have expressed their intention to contest the MAA elections for the post of president. However, efforts to select one among them as unanimous candidates are still underway.
All these candidates have attracted media attention with their statements. The elections have become a talking point for the common public as well.
