Maharshi: Deliberate attempt to lower expectations?

The shoot of Mahesh Babu’s ‘Maharshi’ has been wrapped up. Its post-production work is in full swing. But the film has not added any further hype to it after the release of two songs and promotional material.

Two songs composed by DSP have failed to top the charts. They were regular tunes, nothing extraordinary. All eyes on the new songs. The teaser received lukewarm response as it reminded Mahesh Babu’s earlier movies like ‘Srimanthudu’ and ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’. Despite record views, the teaser didn’t become a talking point.

It is said that the makers are deliberately trying to lower the expectations as the film is an emotional drama and it has lot of meat in the script. Once the trailer comes out, people would realize the movie’s real strength. The makers don’t want hype it up at this moment.

‘Maharshi’ is Mahesh Babu’s 25th movie. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the movie has Pooja Hegde as its heroine and Allari Naresh will be seen in a key role.
