Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli’s film launched

Superstar Mahesh Babu and top director SS Rajamouli have joined hands for a globe-trotting action thriller. The untitled film, which is being referred to as SSMB 29, had its formal launch today with a pooja ceremony that was held at the Aluminum Factory in Hyderabad.

Mahesh Babu graced the ceremony, and the media was not allowed to cover it.

KL Narayana is producing the film under the Durga Arts banner. The producer is returning to movie production after more than two decades.

According to buzz, Rajamouli’s father and celebrated writer K. Vijayendra Prasad penned the story from the source material of two novels written by Wilbur Smith. The team reportedly acquired the rights to these novels for filming. MM Keeravaani is the music director.

There is widespread speculation that the film will be made in two parts, the first of which will be released in theaters in 2027, followed by the subsequent portion anticipated in 2029.
