The much-publicized “Kannappa,” Manchu Vishnu’s ambitious devotional actioner, is scheduled for release next month. But now, the film has been postponed owing to a delay in the final output of visual effects.
“Kannappa,” produced by Vishnu’s production banners with his father and veteran actor Mohan Babu serving as the producer, features top actors like Mohanlal, Prabhas, and Akshay Kumar in key roles; thus, it created more anticipation. Vishnu Manchu plays the titular character Kannappa, a warrior turned devotee of Lord Shiva.
Vishnu made a statement on social media: “Bringing #KANNAPPA to life has been an incredible journey, and we are committed to delivering a cinematic spectacle that meets the Highest Standards. To ensure this, we need a few more weeks to perfect a key episode requiring extensive VFX work. This means the release of the project will be a bit delayed.”
Vishnu further said that he will be back soon with a new release date. The film features Preity Mukundhan as the heroine.

Kajal Aggarwal, Sarath Kumar, and Mukesh Rish play other key roles. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, “Kannappa” is made on a lavish budget.
