Mani Ratnam is directing an epic drama about Chola kings based on the novel ‘Ponniyan Selvan, in two parts. The first part is titled PS-1. The teaser of this film is here.
The teaser looks grand and rich. The master’s visual style is evident.
The epic drama stars Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Prakash Raj. The film will simultaneously release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada on September 30, 2022, in theaters.
Oscar-winning music director A R Rahman composed the music. Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies bankrolled the film.
The film’s teaser proudly proclaims: The Cholas are coming.
