Mirai first weekend collections: A massive number

Teja Sajja starrer “Mirai” has taken everyone by surprise with its exceptional box office performance over the first weekend. By the end of the weekend, the film raked in impressive numbers in both the Telugu states and North America.

In the domestic Indian market, “Mirai” collected Rs 45 crore (nett), a remarkable achievement for a Teja Sajja-led film. In North America, the movie grossed a massive $1.7 million over the weekend, outperforming many other medium-budget films in the region.

The worldwide weekend gross stands at around Rs 70 crore across all language versions combined, significantly boosting Teja Sajja’s career.

Directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, “Mirai” features Teja Sajja, Ritika Nayak, and Manchu Manoj in lead roles, and was produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner.

However, the Hindi version failed to create much impact, collecting only Rs 8 crore in its first weekend, compared to the Hindi Hanuman, which had collected Rs 13.5 crore in a similar timeframe. Meanwhile, the Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions remained underwhelming at the box office.
