‘Mirai’ is the latest to join $2M club

Teja Sajja’s “Mirai” continues its strong box office performance, especially in North America, where the youth audience is turning up in large numbers. With Tuesday’s collections, the film has now joined the $2 million club.

This marks Teja Sajja’s second consecutive $2 million grosser, following his previous hit “Hanu Man”. The film is expected to perform even better in its second weekend, as it enjoys the advantage of facing no significant competition at the box office until the release of Pawan Kalyan’s “OG”. This positions “Mirai” to aim for a $3 million lifetime gross.

The overseas distributor is set to reap significant profits from this success.

Starring Teja Sajja as a superhero and Ritika Nayak as the heroine, “Mirai” is directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. The film has ended the production house’s recent box office drought and established itself as a solid hit.
