He complimented his son Varun Tej’s appearance but made a derogatory comment about actors who are not very tall. He stated that it appears comical when actors who are only five feet three inches tall portray cop roles.
This has sparked controversy. Some on social media speculated that he made this comment with one particular Telugu star in mind. Realizing that the entire discussion about his comment is going in the wrong direction, Naga Babu has issued a statement claiming that his comment was a slip of the tongue and that he retracts his statement.
