Nani’s much-anticipated film “The Paradise” has been postponed indefinitely. Originally slated for a March 26, 2026 theatrical release, the makers are now on the lookout for a fresh date, with filming unlikely to wrap up before April.
Apart from the remaining shoot, the film demands extensive post-production work, which will take several more months. This has made it difficult for the producers to commit to a new release date at this stage. However, there is mounting pressure on the team to make an announcement soon.
Adding to the complexity is the film’s OTT deal. Since “The Paradise” has already been acquired by Netflix, the producers must consult the streaming platform before finalising and officially announcing a new release date. An update is expected later this month.
The Paradise features Nani in one of the most unconventional roles of his career. Sporting braids and tattoos, the actor undergoes a striking transformation. One of the tattoos, bearing an abusive phrase, serves as a constant reminder of the humiliation his character endures.
Touted as a mother-son sentiment-driven period drama, the film is set against the backdrop of Secunderabad. Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead. The project is directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri.
