After delivering the mass entertainer “Veera Simha Reddy”, Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Gopichand Malineni are teaming up once again for their next project, tentatively titled NBK111. The film was announced in a grand manner earlier, with strong indications that it would be a royal period drama. Nayanthara was roped in as the heroine.
However, following the disappointing performance of “Akhanda 2” at the box office, the makers have reportedly reworked their plans. The earlier storyline has been scrapped, and Gopichand Malineni is said to have developed a fresh script to align with the current market pulse.
As per industry buzz, the revamped version of NBK111 is all set to go on floors from March 5, with pre-production formalities nearing completion.
The film is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, who is also backing “Peddi.” Considering the present market conditions and recent box-office trends, the makers have reportedly decided to significantly reduce the film’s budget to ensure better financial viability.
With a new script, controlled budget, and the successful Balakrishna–Gopichand combination, expectations are now riding high on NBK111.
